The world of Middangeard is vast, dangerous, and alive with conflict. At the heart of Open Beta Test 2.0 lies the most coveted prizes on the battlefield — the Sanctuaries.

In this guide, we’ll explain what Sanctuaries are, how they work, the rewards they bring, and which projects are joining the war through Sanctuary collaborations.

🏰 What Are Sanctuaries and Passes?

Sanctuaries are key strategic strongholds scattered across the expanded world map of Middangeard. There are a total of 96 Sanctuaries in OBT 2.0, each located around critical passes and war zones. Controlling a Sanctuary means more than just prestige — it combines strategic dominance with exclusive rewards.

Passes are narrow choke points that connect regions across Middangeard. Unlike Sanctuaries, they don’t grant much rewards or buffs, but their strategic value is immense – controlling a Pass means controlling the movement of your alliances, cutting off enemy advances, and securing vital routes for your own conquests.
